We For She Conference
Connecting for Change
Overview
The We For She Conference brought together over 1300 attendees, including students, business leaders, and educators to spark dialogue and action around gender equity and inclusive leadership. The event, now in its sixth year, focused on the theme Connecting for Change, with a program that included keynote presentations, interactive workshops, breakout sessions, and networking opportunities designed to inspire collaboration and advocacy.
As Art Director and Lead Designer, I was responsible for the full creative vision and execution of the event’s branding and visual identity. Spanning everything from large-scale stage visuals to detailed print collateral. The goal was to create a cohesive, energetic, and empowering experience across every touchpoint, both digital and physical.
The visual identity for We For She 2019 received outstanding feedback from attendees, sponsors, and speakers alike. The design system was praised for its professionalism, energy, and cohesiveness — helping to elevate the overall conference experience and reinforce its core message of connection and impact. From large-format installations to the smallest printed materials, the event's visual environment was unified, purpose-driven, and delivered flawlessly.

The visual direction for We For She was centred around the idea of breaking traditional gender expectations through bold, intentional design. I developed a dual-tone gradient system that paired Dark Pink (#e41857), often associated with femininity. With Dark Purple (#64357B), a cooler tone traditionally linked to masculinity. This palette symbolized the event’s core message: gender should never limit possibility. By merging these tones, the design challenged stereotypes and visually reinforced the idea that women can embody strength, leadership, and ambition beyond outdated norms.
To further resonate with the younger audience, primarily high school and college-aged attendees. I incorporated playful, varied geometric shapes throughout the event’s creative assets. These elements reflected individuality, diversity, and energy while making the event feel inclusive and dynamic.
A highlight of the experience was the interactive drawing wall, which sparked high engagement and gave attendees a creative outlet to express their thoughts, reinforcing the participatory spirit of the event.
